A reflection on issues faced and lessons learned through enforcing IP rights in China, Australia, US and Europe, and a discussion on steps that companies can take to effectively prepare for IP enforcement.

The workshop will be led by Nikki Kahn. She is a patent attorney, IP lawyer and all-round IP enthusiast. She lived in China for several years as the In-house Counsel/IP Manager for ZURU Toys, litigated patents for DLA Piper in Australia, and returned to New Zealand to head the IP function across Fisher & Paykel Technologies’ New Zealand and Chinese operations. Her experience with a range of business cultures, disciplines and industries has given Nikki a unique and pragmatic perspective on implementing and executing commercially useful IP strategies
